Sánchez Ramírez (Dominican Republic) .- A sentence of 30 years in prison was issued at the request of the Public Ministry against three men found guilty of causing death to another while they stole in their home, in the Platanal Municipal District, of the Cotuí municipality, Sánchez Ramírez province.
Roberto Núñez Suárez, Cristino Ureña González (El Gringo) and Pacheco Beltrán (El Haitiano) each were sentenced to 30 years in prison by the Collegiate Court of Sánchez Ramírez, composed of Judges Ramón Emilio Peña, Bolívar Reynoso Hinojosa and Maireli Lazala.
According to the accusatory file, on July 9, 2023, around 11:58 at night, in the Platanal Community, the convicted people penetrated the residence of the Marino de Jesús Javier and his wife Aquilina González, whom they gagged and then shot a son of both, identified as Siphrido of Jesus Javier, causing death immediately.
After committing the crime the three defendants stole from said house a revolver, a truck, cash and other value objects.
-The Public Ministry granted to the case the provisional legal qualification of violation of the articles, 265, 266, 295, 304, 379, 381, 384, 385 and 386, of the Dominican Criminal Code, which typify the association of evildoers, homicide and aggravated robbery, that is, a crime followed by another crime.
Prosecutor Tiburcio Antonio Gómez Vásquez developed the investigation, in the course of which he obtained sufficient evidence with which the accusation was sustained.
In the judicial process the Public Ministry was represented by the litigating prosecutors Rolando Antonio Vásquez Bencosme and Juan Ventura Peguero.
The Court ordered that Pacheco Beltrán fulfill the penalty at the Dajabón Penitentiary Center, while Núñez Suárez and Ureña González will fulfill it in the Palo Cadado fortress, of the Cotuí municipality, in the Sánchez Ramírez province.
