Among applause, hugs, tears and promises, the Faculty of Medicine of the national university of the Northeast lived three days full of emotion with the delivery of diplomas to those who graduated from the careers of Medicine, Lic. The ceremonies not only marked the closure of an academic stage, but also celebrated the beginning of a new professional life at the service of the community. From different disciplines, people graduated are added to the public health system with solid, critical and humanistic training, in a context where ethical and social commitment is more necessary than ever.
The acts presided over the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Mario Germán Pagno; The director of the Kinesiology career, Mgter. Laura Laws; and the director of the Nursing career, Mgter. Oscar Medina. On each day, individual and collective achievements were recognized, the sustained effort and conviction of those who chose vocational paths linked to the care of the other and strengthening the health system.
The nursing collation ceremony had as one of its most emotional moments the speech of the Mgter. Oscar Medina, who underlined the human and transformative dimension of the profession: “Today we celebrate more than a title: we celebrate a vocation that transforms into concrete action. Because being a nurse is not simply exercising a profession, it is to assume a deep human commitment to the care of the other (…) do not allow the routine to opaque the deep sense of what they do. They continue to take care of critical consciousness and with the open heart. Because nursing is science, but it is also art. And you are artists of care.”

The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Mario Germán Pagno mentioned: “You are graduates of a public and free university, which today is being attacked from some fronts. But well, that is another issue. Anyway, I firmly believe that you are what you are thanks to the university and the Faculty. So you continue defending it every day of your life.”

In the three ceremonies, an institutional document was shared in adherence to the national duel for the death of Pope Francis, generating a moment of recollection and reflection that crossed the entire community.
Throughout the conference, the G Salon became a space where academic pride and collective emotion converged. The words of the authorities spoke with the excited looks of mothers, fathers, grandparents, brotherhoods, couples, sons, daughters and friendships, who accompanied each step of the route. The networks of affection, often invisible, were indispensable protagonists of this achievement.
The UNNE Faculty of Medicine reaffirms, with these acts, its commitment to the integral training of critical, empathic professionals, responsible and with deep awareness of the value of health as a human right. Graduated people will carry not only scientific and technical tools, but also a human look, inclusive and committed to social realities.
The diploma delivered symbolizes an individual and collective conquest. It represents the possibility of building a more just society, with greater equity in access to health, and with professionals who assume their task with vocation, sensitivity and ethical commitment. Because behind each new title, there is a story of effort, a choice of life and a responsibility with those who need it most.
