In order to contribute to improve the health of patients, the Carlos Alberto Seguín Escobedo (HNCASE) National Hospital of the ESSALUD welfare network, promotes complementary medicine, along with the conventional one, for the treatment of various evils.
The coordinator of this Social Security Service in Arequipa, Dr. Yanet Valdivia Paredes, informed that 70% of patients undergoing the various therapies, achieve the recovery of their diseases in a natural way.
-The specialist explained that the implementation of complementary medicine in Essalud seeks to promote the humanization of health services and offer natural and effective options to improve the quality of life of the insured.
Complementary medicine in Essalud focuses on balance and harmonizing people’s health using procedures such as: trophotherapy, phytotherapy, acupuncture, neural therapy, therapeutic massages, yoga, Taichi; among other services, which includes the use of medicines from the natural pharmacy of the health institution.
The specialist explained that the attention that EsSalud provides is integral, with medical professionals, physiotherapists, nurses, technicians; who have carried out training in complementary medicine for the effective care of patients.
