A team of non -commissioned divers of the Navy Diving Center (CBA) He has participated this week as an observer in the annual submarine rescue exercises of the Turkish Marina SAVING 25held in waters near the Naval Base of Aksaz. This year’s edition brought together 38 international observers in order to enhance interoperability and exchange of procedures between allied countries.
The CBA had the opportunity to study closely the operations developed from the rescue ship TCG Alemdar and your support ship TCG Isin. The design of Alemdar is very similar to the future Maritime Action Ship of Underwater Intervention (BAM-IS) Poseidonso the data and practices observed are very useful for the speedy entry into service of both this BAM as of the SUPPORT SUPPORT (EAB) vessel.
Aboard the TCG Alemdarthe Spanish divers, equipped with atmospheric pressure diving suits, followed the immersions through the submarine rescue bell. In parallel, in the TCG Isin Rescue support exercises, ventilation of a wrecked submarine and transfer containers were carried out (PODS), using both divers and remote operated vehicles (Rov).
-The campaign SAVING 25 also had the presence of the corvette TCG Heybeliadathe submarines TCG Gur y TCG Doganayaerial media, paratrooper teams specialized in assistance to submarines and various auxiliary units, including diving equipment, general support systems (SAPG) and specialized medical equipment.
The acquired experience will allow the CBA to incorporate the best practices and procedures observed in Türkiye, reinforcing the underwater rescue capabilities of the Armada Spanish.
The CBA has medical and civil personnel that support compliance with the assigned missions. Among diving skills are diving technologists, divers, combat divers, elementary divers and rescue swimmers. With all these personnel, diving equipment (EOB) are generated to undertake the assigned missions and works.
