After the revision of 232 applications through the Public Senior System, President Gabriel Boric appointed three new directors of Codelco on Wednesday, with whom the state returns to nine members at her board of directors, after four years with eight names.
Thus, in replacement of the outgoing Pedro Pablo Errázuriz and Isabel Marshall, the president appointed the former Pensions and former Director of the Unit of Financial Analysis (UAF) for four years, Tamara Agnicand the former minister and former president of the Confederation of Production and Commerce (CPC), Alfredo Moreno.
The third director elected, representative of the supervisors at the table, was selected by the president among the candidates proposed by the National Guild Association of Copper Supervisors (ANSCO) and by the Federation of Supervisors and Copper Professionals (FESUC). After four years with said empty chair, the position will be occupied by Ricardo Calderónformer president of the FESUC in Codelco and head of the state’s human resources development projects since 2000.
-In this way, the Board of Directors of the Ceprera was constituted by Máximo Pacheco, Josefina Montenegro, Alejandra Wood, Nelson Cáceres, Eduardo Bitran, Ricardo Álvarez, Tamara Agnic, Alfredo Moreno and Ricardo Calderón.
“This directory must face the great challenges ahead of public mining aheadwith future projects such as underground Chuquicamata, the Joint Mining Plan of the Andean Division, the entry into operation of Rajo Inca in Salvador Division and the opening of new businesses such as lithium, in the Salares of Atacama and Maricunga, among others, “said the Ministry of Mining in a statement.
It should be remembered that of the nine directors of Codelco, three are chosen directly by the president, four are selected from a list by the president through the public senior system and the other two are representatives of the workers.
