“Congratulations; to continue defending that the socialist company can also be efficient.” Thus, after a deserved and emotional day in the heart of the José Martí Memorial in the Plaza de la Revolución, the President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, after the act of recognition to the commercialization company of the light Industry (Encomil), was dismissed on Thursday morning, as a national avant-garde for the fourth consecutive year.

Especially emotional – like everything that comes out of the heart and a total consecration – turned out to be the words of the general director of the prestigious company, Jorge Luis de la Rosa Hilario, who began expressing: “When we were born exactly at this time, twelve years ago, we could not imagine how much path was ahead.”
In the name of his co -workers, the leader denounced that they have received, “in their own flesh”, the blows of the enemy that has blocked their operations. He then made a parallel between the island suffered by the fence, and the company “that insists on doing good to our aguerrido people.”
The Covid-19 Pandemia, as a very difficult time that later gave way to other hard stages for a growing block, was remembered by the general director, in a morning that also was attended by the political bureau and general secretary of the Central of Workers of Cuba (CTC), Ulises Guilarte by birth; the member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and Head of the Productive Economic Department, Jorge Luis Bocoche Lorenzo; as well as with other leaders of the Communist Party, of the Government, of the mass organizations, of the National Workers’ Union, among others.
“When we believed that the worst had happened,” said Jorge Luis de la Rosa Hilario, “we have received a multiplied, intensified block, which has affected us tremendously with lack of financing, pieces, aggregates, tires and batteries, to just mention some, which add up to the lack of fuel and electricity.” The foregoing, he said, “has forced us to elaborate daily alternatives under the patriot premise that nobody does not give up here.”
With intelligence, with unity, without leaving anyone behind, the company reached achievements that were brought by the Director General: “We overcomed the delivery of the agreed; we captured 3.6 million dollars; we sow our small agricultural spaces; we build homes and eliminate land floors; we invest in photovoltaic energy; we improve the salary of the workers and attend to dozens of social works in the whole country, without a single worker and with everyone’s participation. ”
They, the workers – and this is ratified by the Director General – accompany them the pleasure and merit of serving people in a state of vulnerability, pregnant women, medical offices, to the wineries, to the kindergartens of childhood and children’s circles, to schools, pharmacies, community dining rooms, and many other people and spaces that need it.
“We are proud of the family we have created,” said the leader, who also described Encomil as a bastion of the revolution, as a school, as a space where the best values multiply.
Especially emotional moment took place with the delivery, from President Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, of the flag that accredits the company, for the fourth consecutive year, as a national avant-garde collective of the Industrial Union. In addition, the National Secretariat of the CTC agreed to grant the seal 85 anniversary of the foundation of that organization – and so materialized by Guilarte by birth – to the workers Ernesto Maximino Justiz Piedrahita, Eusebio González Correa, and Jesús Gregorio Martínez Sánchez.
And under the maximum Martiana that “honor, honor”, the certificate was delivered that accredits the base business units (EUB) as national avant -garde of the CTC, to the UEBs Santiago de Cuba, Holguín, Las Tunas, Camagüey, Villa Clara, Jovellanos, Havana City, Transportation Base, Pinar del Río, and Ilimpex filial.
