{{msj}} {{msj}}The fifth and final season of the series opens this Thursday, April 24. Chapters are expected to be available in Argentina from 5 in the morning.
Each season follows Joe while he falls in love with a new woman. To conquer it, Joe resorts to the stalking, manipulation and, ultimately, violence, eliminating any obstacle or person who considers a threat to his “relationship.” The series explores Joe’s twisted mind, his justifications for his actions and the consequences of his obsessions.
- Season 1: Joe works in a bookstore in New York and becomes obsessed with an aspiring writer named Guinevere Beck.
- Season 2: Joe moves to Los Angeles and meets Love Quinn, a chef with his own dark secrets.
- Season 3: Joe and Love get married and move to the suburbs to raise their son, but their old customs resurface.
- Season 4: Joe moves to London under a new identity as a university professor and is involved in a social circle of the elite, while a mysterious “eats rich” begins to kill his new acquaintances.
Joe Goldberg returns to New York. After the events of the fourth season, where he had apparently achieved a life of relative normality with Kate, his past and his dark desires will lurk him again, endangering his “perfect life.” This final season is expected to explore the definitive consequences of their actions and offer a closure to the history of Joe.
- Premiere date: It is scheduled to be released in Netflix on April 24, 2025.
New characters
The incorporation of new characters that will add complexity to the plot in this last installment was announced. Among them is Bronte (Madeline Brewer), an enigmatic playwright who will connect with Joe through his work in the bookstore. Some known characters are also expected to return.
The final season will have new showrunners, Michael Foley and Justin W. Lo, who have already worked as executive producers and screenwriters in previous seasons.
Promises of a “worthy” end: the creators have promised an ending with consequences for Joe, which suggests that he could finally face justice for their crimes or have an outcome that closes their character arc in a shocking way. (NA)
