Havana, Apr 25 (EFE) .- The Dance Festival in Urban Landscapes, which brings together artists from Bulgaria, China, Spain, and Cuba, opened its 29th edition on with a show presented in the Plaza de Armas of the Historic Center of Havana.

Mexico, the country with the largest delegation of dance companies, debuted in the opening with the vigilant works of the city, of the Ollin Yoliztli Cultural Center, Antigone or the , by Nemian scenic dance, a that also presented without excuses and the words behind the flowers.

On the opening , the Visual Arts Center hosted the projection of the Duels, by the Swedish director Jonas Ker-lund, and the video-sound sample of looks.

For three days, squares, streets and patrimonial corners of Havana Vieja will be the scenarios where dance will be inserted in the urban environment, as part of the festival for art in motion as a way to activate public spaces and connect with the community.

Its organizers have explained that this year’s proposal is focused on highlighting the artistic and cultural heritage that the historic center of the Cuban capital keeps, as well as motivating dance companies to the choreographic creation inspired by the architectural spaces where the festival takes place.
