The mayor of Puertollano Miguel Ángel Ruiz has inaugurated the IV Multidisciplinary shows of women artists of Puertollano, Artfem 2025, in the Municipal Museum Cristina García Rodero. An exhibition that brings together the talent of 36 creators of the town, as well as six young promises in the Junior category.
During the opening ceremony, Mayor Miguel Ángel Ruiz has highlighted the symbolic value of this exhibition, which “reflects the creative soul of the women of Puertollano and the young promises that already point ways, talent and sensitivity.”
For the mayor, the exhibition “deserves to be seen, admired and celebrated”, which is why the City Council has yielded the best available exhibition space: the Cristina García Rodero Municipal Museum. In addition, it has underlined the special relevance of celebrating this exhibition in May, coinciding with the ephemeris of the “City of Puertollano” Art Hall, historical germ of local art. “Today, with Artfem, we continue that artistic tradition, making visible female creation, recognizing its value and giving it the place it deserves,” said the mayor.
Ruiz has especially thanked the involvement of the curators of the exhibition – Elena Ramírez de Arellano, Laura Noguero and Estefanía Sanz – as well as the involvement of all the artists.
Artfem 2025 that can be visited until June 15, presents a diverse and multidisciplinary proposal.
The event was attended by numerous people, including relatives and friends of the participants, in addition to representatives of the Women’s Center, Women’s Foundation, Feminist Hartikas collective, Portus Planus, housewives «El Timón», AAVV. Santa Ana, Santa Agueda, CPD José Granero and Eoi Pozo Norte. They have collaborated with the collective of artists for the launch of the exhibition the Establishment Carrefour and Estrella Díaz Floristas.
The artists’ art participants han Sido Ana Ma Cabrera, Ana Leal, Carmen Olmo, Charo Escudero, Claudia Ramírez of Arellano, Sanz, Fátima Chamerier, Gema García de las Bayona, rival, rival, Isabel of Marco, Laura Muñoz. The Artfem sample is consolidated as an essential event in the cultural agenda of Puertollano.
