According to figures from the National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE), Colombia registered in February an unemployment rate of 10.3 %, a drop of 1.4 percentage points compared to the same period of the previous year; The lowest registered rate in the last eight years.
However, the report delivered by the DANE shows that a large part of these new jobs arise from those new entrepreneurs, an economic activity that is related to informality, which in February went from 57 % to 57, 6 %.
“We continue to think as entrepreneurs, we understand and support them, part of the inventory of our physical stores are produced by Colombian ventures. Now, as a company we are satisfied to contribute to the development and growth of the country and the department of Antioquia generating formal employment,” says Liliana Álvarez, Welfare Manager of Laika.
