Prague, May 5 (EFE) .- The president of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelenski, declared Monday in the Czech Senate that the fight that, with the help of his Western allies, maintains against Russia is a war “against terrorism.”
“In Ukraine we value all the help that has come to us from the Czech Republic, and the realization of humanitarian project, and we consider it a common fight against terrorism,” Zelenski told the CT24 public chain after meeting with the president of the Upper House, the liberal Marketa Pekarova.
Zelenski thanked Pekarová for the ammunition initiative, which Coordina Prague, to buy from countries outside Europe surpluses of high -caliber projectiles to supply the Ukrainian infantry.
-“I know that you have contributed and internationalized this initiative,” said the Ukrainian leader on a Czech initiative that plans to provide until the end of the year with another 1.8 million projectiles, the same ones that were supplied in 2024, and thus contribute to balance forces on the battlefield.
Zelenski’s visit to Prague, the second since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine more than three years ago, occurs after a night in which drones attacks were produced by both sides.
Ukraine reported that Russia has launched 2 ballistic missiles and 116 drones, while the Russian Ministry of Defense said that its anti -aircraft defenses demolished 34 Ukrainian drones over five regions of the country last night. EFE
