The president of the ANFP, Pablo Milad, confirmed two friendly matches for La Roja, prior to the debut in the 2024 Copa América in the United States.
Ricardo Gareca’s team comes from playing two preparatory matches in Europetaking a 3-0 victory against Albania and a 3-2 defeat against the world runner-up, France.
Regarding the preparatory friendlies for the Copa América, Milad assured Radio ADN that:
“On Tuesday 11th of June we will have a match with Paraguay, at the National Stadium, at 8:00 p.m. And subsequently, it is likely that In the United States let’s play with Bolivia”.
The president of the ANFP also referred to the reason for having played the last friendlies on the European continent, saying that it was to “let Chilean players look and that in a short time we will have many players in the five most important leagues of world football.”
Chile in Copa América USA 2024
In the maximum continental tournament, Chile will share Group A with Peru, Argentina and Canada.
He La Roja’s first match in the 2014 Copa América USA will be on June 21 against Peru at 8:00 p.m. at AT&T Stadium, in Arlington, Texas.
The second match will be against the current World Champion, the Argentine national team, on June 25 at 9:00 p.m. at MetLife Stadium, in New Jersey.
Finally, the match that will close the group stage of Chile will be against the national team of Canada on June 29 at 8:00 p.m. at Orlando City Stadium in Orlando, Florida.
