PHOENIX — Luis Arráez had four hits and an RBI in his first game since arriving in a trade from Miami, and the San Diego Padres routed the Arizona Diamondbacks 13-1 on Saturday.

Ha-Seong Kim hit a three-run homer for San Diego, which before the game reached a colossal deal to acquire Arráez from the Marlins, along with almost $7.9 million, in a trade for four players.

Venezuelan Arráez, a two-time batting champion, wasted no time producing with his new club. He went 4 for 6 and scored two runs.

He wasn’t the only San Diego hitter to hit the ball well at Chase Field.

Jurickson Profar hit a two-run home run in the seventh inning, on a night in which he totaled four hits, while Kim followed with a three-run homer. Dominican Manny Machado drove in three runs and Michael King (3-3) allowed six singles in the same number of innings.

San Diego, which won its fourth straight, had 18 hits.

For the Padres, Venezuelan Arráez is 6-for-4, with two runs scored and one RBI. The Dominicans Fernando Tatis Jr. 5-1 with one run scored, Machado 4-2 with one run scored and three RBIs, Eguy Rosario 1-0.

For the Diamondbacks, Cuban Lourdes Gurriel Jr. 3-1. Dominican Ketel Marte 3-1. Venezuelans Eugenio Suárez 3-0, Gabriel Moreno 4-2 with an RBI.
