Millonarios is last in the area, with just one point in three appearances, and now not only is it obliged to beat Bolívar this Wednesday, in El Campín, but it has to do so by a good goal difference to leave the Brazilian team in the queue.
In Coquimbo, an extraordinary volley goal by Fernando Cornejo, in the 63rd minute, gave Palestino a very important victory thinking about its future in Conmebol tournaments: it reached six points and trails the leader, Bolívar, who has 9.
Now, Millonarios no longer depends on himself, not even thinking about reaching third place in the group, which would give him the possibility of fighting for a playoff to continue in the Copa Sudamericana.
The maximum that Millos can achieve is to reach 10 points. To do this, he will have to beat Bolívar this Wednesday, on Tuesday the 14th against Palestino in El Campín and on May 28 against Flamengo in the Maracaná.

The much-celebrated draw against Flamengo on the first date now seems insufficient for Millonarios. The two defeats as a visitor, against Bolívar and Palestino, leave Alberto Gamero’s team on a tightrope.
