“Something always happens to him”: Johnny Herrera criticizes the Colo Colo player’s Red nomination

The former goalkeeper and idol of the University of Chile, Johnny Herrera analyzed this Tuesday the roster of 55 La Roja players for the Copa América, where he questioned some names, and particularly one from Colo Colo.

During his participation in the TNT Sports program Todos Somos Técnicos, where he mentioned some names that he did not like on the list prepared by the coach of the Chilean team, Ricardo Gareca.

In this way, Herrera questioned the names of Diego Valencia, Nicolás Díaz, Lawrence Vigoroux, Oscar Opazo and Carlos Palaciosthe latter being the one for which he made the most extensive criticism.

“Whenever they called him he was never there.. something always happens to him. When will it really be tested? They have called him three times already and he has been injured each time. It seems like he doesn’t like being there.” said the Everton goalkeeper.

“As a player I like him, but he doesn’t catch my attention. He is very lazy. Although he is unbalanced and plays well, there is much more to the midfielder position in the National Team. His best moment was in Unión Española,” Herrera added.

Regarding the rest of the players, he also referred to Opazo, indicating that his place should have been occupied by Fabián Hormazábal, current right back of the U.

“He has been very irregular in his team and does not have the continuity of having a national team. The starter today is Mauricio Isla and the one who is most similar, and the one who should be there, is Fabián Hormazábal,” Herrera concluded.
