In dialogue with Ovación, the FPV boss pointed out that the tournament that took place recently in Guatemala served as a test so that Antonio Rizola could meet the 12 volleyball players that make up the Sub 17 squad.
“This Pan American Cup It was a laboratory test because none of the rivals knew each other, we wanted to give the opportunity to as many players as possible and the team developed from less to more, the campaign was very good,” he said at the beginning.
Likewise, he took the opportunity to anticipate how the Peruvian women will prepare for the World Cup, which will take place from August 17 to 24 in our country. “The team will gather before the World Cup and we will receive a visit from Japan, Italy and the Dominican Republic. For the first phase of Under 17 World Cup, the teams will be divided into four groups of four and it will be a round-robin. Their final ranking in these groups will determine the starting positions in the knockout rounds, which include the round of 16, quarterfinals, semifinals and finals at each level of the playoffs.
