Next Sunday, June 23, the Walk and Sports Fair heading to Paris 2024which was announced in collaboration with the Government of Mexico City through the Sports Institute (INDEPORTE) and the France embassy In our country.

The walk is an opportunity to offer Mexicans a taste of the Olympic Games, in an emblematic place (the Angel of Independence) and along one of the busiest avenues in Mexico City (Paseo de la Reforma).

According to the representative of France in Mexico, he pointed out that Paris waited 100 years to welcome the Olympic Games again and that today “we are 53 days away from the Olympic flame traveling across France to reach the Seine River on July 26, for the opening of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.”

It should be noted that a double ticket to Paris will be raffled off with accommodation included to travel to the Seat of the Olympic Games.

The Walk and Sports Fair towards Paris 2024 will take place on June 23 and will begin at 9:00 a.m. The starting point will be the emblematic Angel of Independence and will have as its goal the Monument to the Revolution. In total, participants will be touring 2.5km and it is totally free.

To participate in the walk, registration will be open for 5 consecutive days, from June 10 to 14 through a link on the official networks of the French Embassy in Mexico and those of INDEPORTE. Where 500 spaces will be opened every day, until sold out 2500 participants who will be granted a commemorative t-shirt.

“The whole family can participate, it is a sporting event, a little piece of the Olympic Games in Mexico,” said the general director of INDEPORTE, Julio Pérez Guzmán.

On the other hand, starting at 10:00 a.m., there will be a sports and cultural fair with stands and exhibitions, as well as a demonstration and workshop of Break dance for interested young people. Since this is the first time Athletic discipline will have its appearance in these Olympic games, these activities will be open to the public and registration is not necessary.
