Aston Martin advances details on Lance Stroll’s future in Formula 1

After a start to the season marked by ups and downs, the time is approaching for Aston Martin to decide what to do with Lance Stroll. Mike Krack has advanced the Canadian’s situation.

“I want to continue being part of this”

Fernando Alonso already has his place secured in the team after completing his renewal, however, the plans for Stroll are not yet clear. A possible departure for the Canadian has been discussed, but it seems that a departure from the team of his father, Lawrence Stroll, would not be viable.

The Luxembourg engineer has revealed that the time is approaching for the green team to communicate its plans with the driver. Stroll is clear about his intention to continue: “Yeah, that’s where my head is, for sure“he explained to the media.

“It seems to be a pretty popular question I’ve been asked recently. And yes, It’s super exciting. Everything that is happening at Silverstone and the project with the team and how we have grown in recent years. And we continue to grow. So It is definitely also on my mind to continue being part of this…”, he added.

Stroll has transferred his intentions to Aston Martin

The Canadian has received numerous criticisms for the great difference in performance with Alonso, in which his talent has been questioned. Given this, team figures such as Pedro de la Rosa, came out in defense of him, indicating that in the last rounds, the gap has been reduced. Currently, the Asturian has obtained 41 points compared to 17 for his teammate.

For his part, the team engineer has indicated that Stroll has communicated internally his desire to continue. “He told me the same thing. I think we are in a good exchange for this situation. We know that Aston Martin is Lance’s home… and I think we’ll have to announce something soon“, he concluded.
