Carlos Alcaraz continues to set records in the world of tennis and this Monday the Spanish tennis player will begin his 100th week in the Top-5 of the rankings after first rising to this position on July 25, 2022.
An Alcaraz that, however, faces a challenge this week to defend its second place in a ranking in which Jannik Sinner remains leader for one more week with 9,480 points.
Alcaraz, second in the standings with 8,580 points, defends 500 points as last year’s champion at Queen’s, while he is only 220 ahead of Novak Djokovic, third with 8,360, and that he could recover second place in case of an early stumble by ‘Carlitos’.
A ranking that, before the dispute of the Queen’s and Halle tournaments, presents as a big change the rise to seventh place of Alex de Miñaur, who rises two positions after winning the ‘S-Hertongenbosch Tournament (Bolduque) and relegates Casper Ruud and Hubert Hurkacz to eighth and ninth place respectively.
For his part, Rafa Nadal resists this week among the 300 best tennis players in the world in 261st place with 215 points.an account that the Spaniard could increase during the ATP 250 tournament in Bastad (July 15-21) after confirming his resignation from Wimbledon.

Djokovic is still out of the ATP Finals
J.Annik Sinner also remains leader of the Race To Turin, the classification that determines the eight best tennis players of the year to compete in the Nitto ATP Finals, ahead of Alexander Zverev and Carlos Alcaraz. A ‘Race’ that, at the moment, also has Casper Ruud, Daniil Medvedev, Alex de Miñaur, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Andrey Rublev as finalists, which leaves out to Novak Djokovic who this week appears in tenth place with 1,860, 360 behind Rublev’s eighth place, which closes the list of tennis players qualified for the Finals.
