SAN FRANCISCO — Matt Chapman’s single drove in two runs and anchored a three-run eighth inning as the San Francisco Giants beat the Chicago Cubs 5-1 on Tuesday night.

Six San Francisco pitchers combined to throw a four-hitter.

Michael Conforto added an RBI single, while David Villar and Jorge Soler hit sacrifice flies to help the Giants win their second straight game after suffering five consecutive losses.

Conforto’s single gave San Francisco the lead in the second inning. Villar’s sacrifice fly made the score 2-0.

Michael Busch had an RBI single in the third for Chicago, which lost for the fourth time in five games.

Tyler Rogers (1-2) took the win by resolving the eighth chapter blank.

Kyle Hendricks (1-5) suffered his first loss since May 17, despite limiting the Giants to two runs in seven innings.

For the Cubs, Dominican Christopher Morel is 3-0. Panamanian Miguel Amaya 3-0.
