The new POCO F6 Pro and POCO F6 are already a reality globally and Xiaomi wanted to take advantage of their launch to announce some very interesting tools that are going to make our lives easier. Definitely, Our favorite has been the one known as “Hibernation Mode”a battery management system that focuses on offering extra autonomy thanks to blocking the functions that we can perform with the mobile phone.
As confirmed by POCO itself, the F6 and F6 Pro will be able to offer a total of 2 extra hours of battery if we activate this mode when we only have 1% remaining autonomya function that will later reach the rest of Xiaomi devices but that debuts in two smartphones that have a huge 5,000 mAh battery which we will be able to stretch even further.
These are the keys to the new Hibernation Mode of the POCO F6
There is no doubt that Hibernation Mode will mean a before and after for the way we use our phone on a daily basis. Until now we had to be very careful to have enough energy for any emergency that may arise, but thanks to this tool we will be able to make calls of up to 30 minutes long even though we only have 1% battery remaining.
Obviously, the fact of having this extra autonomy means that we have to do without practically all functions of the device. Activating this mode will make the mobile practically enter a constant standby mode, and the only thing we will be able to do with it is make and answer calls. Of course, in exchange we get two hours of extra duration compared to what the phone would give us without having this option activated.
For now, only the new POCO F6 Pro and POCO F6 will be able to enjoy this new functionality but, as the brand itself has confirmed, Later it can be enjoyed on other Xiaomi devices through an update. These will have to equip a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor onwards, but at least we are now certain that it will end up arriving.
