We have the possibility of purchasing a new computer, updating from previous versions or purchasing our own license. From there we can enjoy all the latest functions and features that Microsoft is integrating in this version.
But many prefer to use Windows using a local account instead of using a Microsoft Account. By default this is something we couldn’t do when trying to install Windows 11 on our computers. However, since its launch, we had the possibility of using a simple trick to achieve what we told you about, installing that version with a local account.
This allowed us to bypass the mandatory requirement of use a Microsoft Account for the start-up software license. This is something that we achieved by disconnecting the computer itself so that it did not have an Internet connection and using the following command:
oobe/bypassnro
We type all of this in the command console during the installation process itself by pressing Shift + F10.
You are now required to install Windows 11 with a Microsoft Account
This is a trick that a huge number of users around the world have used in recent months to install Windows 11 with a local account. However, it must be taken into consideration that the company itself has never been in much agreement with this type of movements. The firm prefers that we identify ourselves in the operating system and create our account with a Microsoft Account.
Hence, as has just been discovered now, we will no longer have the possibility of using this trick with the oobe command that we told you about. This blockage is something that is already spreading like wildfire through the X social network.
And from now on and after executing the command that we mentioned before, when installing Windows with a local account, it will give us an error. This means that we will be forced to use a Microsoft Account to be able to start work with Windows 11.
To date and after using this trick that we mentioned, with the PC disconnected from the Internet, we could install the system with any account. But that has stopped working recently, and everything indicates that it has been Microsoft that has blocked the use of this trick. Without a doubt, this could turn back many users who have finally decided to migrate to the latest version of the system.
