Bedrock and Ease Live (Evertz) have jointly designed a solution to display live game statistics with interactivity options delivered DTC via overlays that will be employed by M6 in its coverage of Euro 2024.

These interactive overlays, which will debut on June, 15 in coverage of the soccer championship UEFA Euro 2024 in M6+the free streaming service of Group M6 of France, will provide the spectators access to the live match statistics: match statistics, team lineups, player statistics, rankings… The system also allows the inclusion of participatory elements for fans.

This first deployment of the joint Bedrock and Ease Live solution will reach Android TV, Apple iOS and Android mobile devices. Later in the year, the capabilities will come to a selection of smart TVs and devices like Samsung, LG, Hisense, Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV. By implementing a solution that sits on top of existing TV or OTT services, Bedrock and Ease Live aim to significantly reduce implementation times “from months to days” as well as enable “global scalability.”

Jonas EngwallCEO of Bedrocksees this development as a “truly engaging” streaming “experience” for viewers, “setting a standard for how fans will expect to interact with their favorite sporting events.” Kjetil Hornelandexecutive director of Ease livespeaks in similar terms: “Engaging audiences with interactive content means delivering a great user experience across different devices, allowing our clients to grow their services and further monetize their content.”
