Therefore, unless you are an advanced athlete, a watch like the Amazfit GTR 2 is presented as an economical as well as complete option, as it offers much more than you would expect for its price. It went on the market for the first time in 2020, although later, in 2022, they published a new version which is the one that can currently be purchased. Today I tell you my impressions (spoiler) that are quite positive.

My experience of use with the Amazfit GTR 2
The first thing that caught my attention was its screen, since it is quite large, 1.39 inches and includes a panel AMOLED. This looks especially good outdoors, even in direct sunlight it offers good visibility. It is possible to customize the dial both with your own models and with any photo stored on your mobile. The strap is also interchangeable, so it is possible adapt the style of the watch to our needs. For more formal occasions I opt for a leather strap, while for exercise a silicone strap is better.
When training I have been able to choose between more than 90 sports activities. I’ve mainly used it for running and walking, as well as treadmill and elliptical at the gym. Likewise, you can choose from many others such as cycling, swimming, etc. Once the activity is finished, the watch is responsible for offering me a analytical report regarding the exercise and in this way it helps to see if the training has been adequate.
Regarding its autonomy, I have to say that it includes a 471 mAh battery, which with normal use as a smart watch I have reached 10 days of use. What I didn’t like too much is its Integrated GPSwell youit burns quite a bit to position, especially if you are in an area with many trees and tall buildings. Although once connected it usually positions correctly.
If you are looking for a smartwatch with which you can monitor your health, this may be a good option, since monitors oxygen saturation in blood, something important when doing intense physical activity. Also measures sleep quality, informing me about light, deep and REM sleep. In my case I think it correctly guessed the time I fell asleep and woke up, as well as a short period of time when I woke up in the early morning. In addition, it is able to recognize naps.
The watch has 3 GB of internal memory that can be used for save songs and listen to them through Bluetooth headphones and this way I avoid carrying my cell phone when I train. Also correctly notifies callsmessages (without the ability to respond) and applications and even when I work it reminds me that I have been sitting too long and to move.
Worth?
The Amazfit GTR 2 in its 2022 version can be found for sale at quite affordable prices. In my case, I bought it for less than €80 And I think that for this price you can ask for little more.
