A recent leak ruined Samsung’s big surprise by showing the entire Galaxy Z Flip6 spec sheet. However, it left out an important part: its memory and storage configurations. Fortunately, that had already been shown by a previous leak that also hinted at a slight price increase. Now, a Geekbench completes the puzzle with information about your memory.

It confirms that the top-spec Galaxy Z Flip6 variant will launch with 12GB of RAM, a much-needed upgrade. It was inevitable, since on-device AI tasks are notoriously memory-hungry. The model number SM-F741B confirms that this is an international variant. That said, Samsung could restrict it to certain markets. Performance-wise, its score is on par with other Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy devices.

Interestingly, the memory upgrade also appeared in a previous geekbench with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered Galaxy Z Flip6 variant. However, this is most likely a fake as it is quite easy to manipulate Geekbench listings with a rooted device. Furthermore, it wouldn’t make much sense for Samsung to use a next-generation chip in a current-generation device.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 isn’t the only phone slated for a memory upgrade. It will be joined by the Galaxy S24 FE, which may or may not appear in Galaxy Unpacked on July 10. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy S25 could still be stuck with an archaic 8 GB of memory on the device, something that many would consider acceptable for a flagship smartphone.
