From Pokémon they did not take legal action against Palworld: “Nintendo and Pokémon Company did not tell us anything”

It’s been a while since Palworld was launched and the conflict and criticism for being a copy of Pokémon seems to have been left behind, as one of the game’s creators from The Pokémon Company revealed. Ultimately, legal action was never taken against them.

It should be remembered that after the explosive success of the title, The Pokémon Company issued a statement in which they indicated that they committed to “investigate and take appropriate measures to address any act that infringes intellectual property rights related to Pokémon.”

Apparently this finally came to nothing and according to Takuro Mizobe in conversation with GameFile (Via Eurogamer), “[No escuchamos] nothing at all,” adding that “Nintendo and the Pokémon Company didn’t tell us anything.”

“Doing new things is very difficult”

In the interview, the creator of the controversial game also touched on his development career, which began as a game developer through a year-long training program supported by Nintendo.

On the occasion, he was asked about what he had learned from working at Nintendo, pointing out that “I always think: doing new things is very difficult.”

“In game development, of course, sometimes we have to, But, as much as possible, I try to avoid creating new things.”he added, in a statement that clearly applies to his latest game.
