The credits reach up to the sum of $1,500,000. They are granted for a period of 36 months and at a fixed rate of 40% for the client.

USHUAIA.- The Ministry of Economy, in collaboration with the Bank of Tierra del Fuego, announced the relaunch of a new initiative aimed at improving home access to natural gas.

In this way, the Government and the banking entity launched a special line of credit designed to cover the costs associated with connecting to the natural gas network, representing a definitive solution for users of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).

The loans, which reach up to the sum of $1,500,000, are granted with a term of 36 months and a fixed rate of 40% for the client thanks to the subsidy granted by the province, thus facilitating more equitable access to this financing.

The loan line is aimed at residents of Tierra del Fuego who are beneficiaries of the Provincial Subsidy for Residential Liquefied Petroleum Gas Consumption and who meet the requirements established in the corresponding regulations.

The procedure to request the credit begins with the application to the Provincial Directorate of Specific Projects, which will certify that the applicant receives an LPG subsidy and that they have the natural gas network at their home to be able to move forward with the connection. Once approval is obtained, you must go to the BTF with the forms and the budget for materials and labor.

After the client has been analyzed as a credit subject and the loan has been approved, the bank will proceed to credit the funds to the applicant’s account and transfer the corresponding amounts to the suppliers. In order to advance with this last step, it is necessary that the companies be classified in the construction, corralón or hardware sectors and that they have an account at the Banco de la Provincia to be able to receive the funds.

For more information about the line and to obtain the signed eligibility form, users must go to the offices of the Provincial Directorate of Specific Projects at Maipú 273 PB in Ushuaia; Bernardo O’Higgins 181 in Río Grande; and Santiago Rupatini 285 in Tolhuin.
