MEXICO CITY (apro).- This Thursday the decree that raised the employment subsidy to 390 pesos per month for those who receive a monthly income of up to 9,081 pesos came into force.
President Andrés Manuel López Obrador highlighted during the conference that “it is important to know, how the minimum wage has increased as it has not happened in decades, this has led to the limit of the subsidy for not paying the Tax being exceeded. About Income,” he said.
He explained that with the latest increases in the minimum wage, which have been 20 percent, they were not received in full because they received a 14 percent increase because 6 percent corresponded to the ISR.
The benefit, he said, is for nine million formal workers, “the subsidy has already been increased as of today and is published in the Official Gazette, those who earn less will benefit” and the calculation is on the workers of the economy. formal.
He highlighted the mention, although there was no question about it, to send the message to the working sector and thus prevent said tax from continuing to be deducted.
But he stressed that this will only apply to a salary cap, those who exceed it will not have access to said subsidy.
The decree that was published in the DOF this May 1 indicates that “the employment subsidy is a tax benefit designed to support low-income paid workers, to reduce the impact of income tax on their economy.”
“That the application of the employment subsidy is based on a table that establishes its amount based on the income level of the workers, with the purpose of supporting those with lower incomes and facilitating compliance with their tax obligations without compromising their income. available”, it is also specified.
