The young woman lost her life and died after losing balance while walking on the famous tourist attraction in Ireland. The victim of the fall, who was in her 20s, lost her jogging and fell off the edge of the cliff in County Co Clare.

A thorough inspection of the area was carried out by the Gardaí officials. An emergency operation was also initiated. Meanwhile, the Irish Coast Guard received the information about the death of the woman at around 01:20 pm, per local time.

To carry on with the inspection, the Shannon-based search and rescue helicopter Rescue 115 was also deployed earlier today. The woman was found by a rescue aircraft, and her body was recovered by the RNLI lifeboat crew from the Aran Islands.

“Gardai and emergency services conducted an operation following reports of an incident at the Cliffs Moher this afternoon. The body of a woman, aged in her early 20s, was removed from the water by emergency services,” BBC quoted a Gardai spokesperson as saying.

The woman’s body is still at the scene, remarked Garda declaring who barely steps outside the home.

The cliffs are among the most visited tourist spots in Ireland, with 1.5 million people annually.
