A 4.4 magnitude earthquake shook the Coquimbo region during Sunday night, reports the Seismological Center of the University of Chile. Reports from users and listeners of Radio Bío Bío mention that the tremor was accompanied by “a lot of noise.” The earthquake took place at 9:58 p.m., with an epicenter 10.8 km southwest of Ovalle, in the Coquimbo region, and a depth of 47 km, according to Seismology.

A magnitude 4.4 tremor, according to the Seismological Center of the University of Chile, was felt this Sunday night in the Coquimbo region.

According to reports from users on X and Radio Bío Bío listeners, the earthquake was accompanied by “a lot of noise.”

Specifically, the earthquake was recorded at 9:58 p.m.

The epicenter was calculated 10.8 kilometers southwest of the city of Ovalle, located in the interior of the Coquimbo region.

The depth of the earthquake, according to Seismology, was 47 km.
