Naoya Inoue knocks out ‘Pantera’ Nery and remains Undisputed Champion | TUDN Boxing

Luis Nery was close to giving the big surprise by sending Naoya to the canvas in the first round, but he was unable to finish off his rival who recovered quickly and from the second round he showed why they call him the monster.

From the second round to the sixth round he was largely dominated by the Japanese who knocked down the Mexican in the second and fifth rounds and took the third and fourth clearly.

For the sixth round Inoue had no mercy and once again sent the Tijuana native to the canvas, who was surprised by a right hand that broke his body and sent him to the anthill.

Inoue’s victory keeps him undefeated in 27 fights and places him as the best boxer of the moment, even above Terrence Crawford and ‘Canelo’ Álvarez.

Meanwhile, Luis Nery was left with a record of 37 fights in which he won 27 and lost two.

Nery had the rejection of the people in Japan since in the past he defeated two of their Japanese champions, but he had tested positive for doping and on another occasion he had not made the weight, so this fight was classified by the Japanese as his revenge.
