This consists of a nap in the middle of the day of exactly 26 minutesneither one more nor one less, which according to the entity’s experts improve a person’s performance and alertness by 34% and 54% respectively.

NASA’s Ideal Nap Backed by Harvard and the Mayo Clinic

Regarding the Rule of 26 created by NASA to achieve the ideal nap that allows its astronauts to have the necessary rest to carry out their tasks in space, the theory is also backed by two of the largest scientific entities in the world: The Harvard University and the Mayo Clinic.

Both entities ensure that a perfect nap must have a estimated duration of between 20 and 30 minutes, to avoid adverse side effects such as extreme drowsiness, difficulty concentrating, irritability, among others.
