On May 6 and 7, the First In-Person Meeting of the Network-Consortium on Fluids in the Gas and Oil Industry (FIGyP) took place in Córdoba.

Present at the opening were the Director of the Córdoba Scientific and Technological Center (CCT), Mónica Balzarini, the director of the Institute for Research and Development in Process Engineering and Applied Chemistry (IPQA), Raquel Martini, as well as virtually the new liaison manager. technology of CONICET, Tomás Mazzieri and the Engineering Coordinator Romina Cuello. The secretary of science and technology of the National University of Córdoba (UNC) Daniel Barraco also participated on the second day.

The meeting aimed to generate a space conducive to in-depth discussions, exchange of knowledge and establishment of valuable connections between experts from both sectors. It was a unique opportunity to foster collaboration and advancement in this field.

This meeting was organized by the Fluid Thermodynamics Group of the Institute for Research and Development in Process Engineering and Applied Chemistry (IPQA) and the NMR group of the Enrique Gaviola Physics Institute (IFEG) of CONICET Córdoba.

Present were representatives of groups from the Chemical Engineering Pilot Plant (PLAPIQUI) of CONICET of Bahía Blanca, the Center for Inorganic Chemistry (CEQUINOR) of CONICET of La Plata and the Institute of Physics of Liquids and Biological Systems (IFLYSIB) of CONICET of La Plata, as well as technical representatives of the five participating companies of the Consortium: YPF, Pluspetrol, ESSS, Transeparation and FDC.

Throughout sessions with different thematic axes, presentations were made by both the industry and the CONICET groups, and discussions were held on different problems of interest and possible lines of action to follow within the framework of the Network-Consortium. FIGyP.
