A joint statement released by the presidency of the Emiliano Abasolo Committee of the UCR and the blocks of councilors and school counselors.

In the message they request “Priority is given to the work to restore heating at Secondary School No. 7, as well as the necessary gas works in the rest of the educational establishments in the district, reaffirming that education is an inalienable right contemplated in our National and Provincial Constitution.

Furthermore, the statement highlights “the enormous inconvenience that the lack of heating means for this and other establishments due to different infrastructure problems in their buildings.”

They also assured that “since December, ENARGAS has been inspecting establishments in the district with the worrying consequence of the removal of meters in some of them” and concluded in “the lack of responses from the provincial government to the structural problems of the district’s schools, the lack of foresight in basic issues, the abandonment of the educational system.”

As a result of this, they considered it pertinent to accompany the claim to the provincial government for the completion of a work that, due to its cost, exceeds the competence of the School Council and requires the prompt implementation of the necessary mechanisms for the municipality to call for bids that will be covered with provincial funds. These efforts must be a priority to respond quickly to demands.”
