The mayor of the town of Las Plumas, Sergio Bowman, warned that as a result of “an overdemand” for bottled gas, there are problems supplying the town through trucks that come from Neuquén and that “are not leaving.”

LOGISTICS
The people of the town, for the most part, heat themselves with wood due to the problem of not having natural gas since it is an expensive resource for the local economy. Meanwhile, communal units and institutions are the only ones that are supplied with bottled gas and the lack of the resource could put communal functioning at risk.

In this sense, Bowman indicated in dialogue with LU20 that “the police station and the homes of some teachers are without gas and the order has been paid for more than a month.” And as he understands, “they inform us that there is excess demand and that, for reasons of logistics, they have not been able to supply us,” he said.

«THE TRUCKS DO NOT LEAVE»
“The problem occurs every winter, since we get our supplies through Neuquén and the trucks are not leaving,” he mentioned.
The communal chief indicated that the final solution would be to have a bottled gas plant, but this would require an investment of at least 3 million dollars.
