Xóchitl Gálvez Ruizin company with the leaders of the political parties that promoted her as a presidential candidate, recognized her defeat against Claudia Sheinbaumderived from the fact that the INE Quick Count revealed that the virtual president of Mexico has an advantage of almost 30% of the votes.

At the press conference, Gálvez Ruiz acknowledged that in the Quick Count he revealed that the vote trend is not favorable to his candidacy itself, which apparently could not be reversed with the district counts.

“The National Electoral Institute (INE) announced its Quick Count, such a statistical exercise, a vote trend that was not favorable to my candidacy, trend that also seems to be irreversible”, commented the former senator.

Likewise, he confirmed that he had communication with the virtual presidential candidate Claudia Sheinbaum to recognize her electoral victory and also make observations from the perspective she had the opportunity to know during his campaign through the national territory.

“A few minutes ago I contacted Claudia Sheinbaum to recognize the trend, I told her that I saw a Mexico with a lot of pain and violence and to tell her that she can solve the problems of our people,” he said at a press conference.

After an anxious wait on the part of the citizens, Guadalupe Taddei, president advisor of the National Electoral Institute (INE), finally announced the favorable trend for Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo as the virtual president of Mexico in this year’s elections. Despite a delay of more than an hour in the official announcement, the most up-to-date figures from the Preliminary Election Results Program (PREP) confirm a resounding advantage for the ruling party’s candidate.

According to the PREP, Claudia Sheinbaum has secured a dominant position in the preferences of the electorate, with impressive support from the 58.3% to 60.7% of the votes counted in their favor.

In a press conference, Sheinbaum thanked the gesture of Xóchitl Gálvez and Jorge Álvarez Máynez, who contacted her by telephone to recognize her victory, despite previous criticism of the electoral authorities. “The difference for the presidency of the republic is more than 30 points, according to the preliminary results of the National Electoral Institute,” Sheinbaum emphasized. “I thank the millions of Mexican men and women who decided to vote for us on this historic day to advance with the fourth transformation.”

Sheinbaum highlighted his commitment to seeking unity and peace, even with those who do not share his political vision. In addition, he reaffirmed his commitment to consolidate the projects initiated by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador during his presidential campaign.

Finally, she expressed her gratitude to President López Obrador for his phone call and the video published on her social networks, where he congratulated her on her resounding victory, according to the INE Quick Count data.
