The municipality celebrates its Nit de l’Art
The Night of the Art of Son Servera is once again the star of the island’s cultural panorama. It will be celebrated this Saturday, June 8, and will feature the presence of a large number of creators and a good handful of novelties. The opening ceremony will be led by Amparo Sard. The creator from Serverina will be the one who kicks off a long night of art and fun, spread across numerous places in the town’s urban area.
In the Església Nova the work of Rogelio Olmedo, which will be in the Capella Fonda. Alexandra Castillo will also perform a live artistic intervention at the Església. In the side chapels there will be the creations of various artists, such as Rafel Randa, Rosie Nguyen, Hämez B., Pedro Domenge, Inger Roverd, Anka Stieglitz, Sebastià Martí or Toni Amengual. In the rest of the town there will be a significant number of spaces to show all the creativity gathered there for one night. For example, the works collected in Sa Pleta Freda, that of Xavier Jansà in Espai d’Art Miquel Vives or that of Ca Na Violina will stand out. In the Son Servera Library you can enjoy the pieces created by local children in a series of workshops and in the Son Servera Jove space, you can find your own, but from the young people.
The music is one of the great news of this edition, not so much because of its presence itself, but because of the format. Under the title of Balcó Musicians there will be a wide series of performances of various styles on balconies of public and private buildings, which will give a totally new air to traditional concerts. Phonos Band, Anne Loehold, Goran Levi Jazz Quartet and Llucia Nebto i Pau Vallbona Duo will be the performers. The City Council has created a complete program in which a map will help all visitors not to miss anything of what will be an exceptional offer.
