(ADN).- The Bariloche Popular Neighborhoods table repudiated the cut of the Calor Gas Plan made by the government of Rio Negro “to those who need it most.” They referred to the “harsh winter” and the “brutal adjustment.” The organization demanded the restitution of the benefit and announced that they will request the intervention of Mayor Walter Cortés.

«Unfortunately, there are thousands of families that this year have been excluded from the possibility of accessing the Calor Plan and even those who were able to access suffered a cut in the number of bottles, instead of receiving one per week, they will receive two per month, one every fifteen days,” the Board indicated.

In a statement, they assure that “in Bariloche, a large part of the population does not have natural gas or the economic resources to be able to connect. Added to this is the fact that new connections have not been made in the city for a long time. The reality is that for years the carafe heat plan has been an enormous help that alleviates the winter, particularly for the most humble. “The Calor Plan is a right acquired by the citizens of our city.”

«Despite the harsh winter that we are going through, and the brutal adjustment that plunges Bariloche families into poverty, the Province of Rio Negro has not only decided to make these cuts but has also provided incomplete and confusing information, closing the media. usual and forcing people to queue on the street for up to 4 hours to make inquiries and requests” they denounced, and clarified: “It is worth remembering that the price of a 10 kg bottle varies between $15,000 and $30,000 and is barely enough for heat for 3 or 4 days. This situation leads families to have no alternative but to be cold or have to choose between heating or food, in the context of the type of cold experienced in the harsh Patagonian winter; Added to this is the historic snowfall we suffered at the beginning of May, of which there is still snow in many sectors.

«For all of the above, we hold the Provincial Energy Secretary, Andrea Confini, responsible (who did not bother to respond to any of the copious emails we sent her); and to Governor Alberto Weretilnek for cutting resources in the sector where it is most needed, limiting the possibility of heating for thousands of families in Bariloche, demonstrating an alarming lack of sensitivity,” they stressed.

And they concluded: «We demand the immediate incorporation into the Calor Plan of those neighbors who were excluded from the benefit and we hold Confini and Weretilneck responsible for the damage they have caused to our families and we ask Mayor Walter Cortés for immediate intervention to defend their neighbors. ».
