This original format from Talpa Studios acquired by Atresmedia TV. Recording takes place at the Talpa Studios hub in the Netherlands and will be produced in collaboration with Warner Bros. ITVP Spain.
Ball Game pits brains against balls by combining a high-stakes quiz show with a large-scale physical competition. Each episode features two groups competing for prize money in a “ball battle.”
Standing on a high platform above a pool, everyone must work together while facing a multiple-choice quiz in which each answer is assigned a spot with a giant ball placed behind it. If the correct answer is chosen, the ball rolls down and stops just before colliding with the player. If there is a wrong answer, the huge ball throws them mercilessly into the pool below. The more players each team loses, the more difficult the questions become. But the longer they last, the more money they accumulate, until one team reaches the final round to play for the grand prize.
After its premiere in Holland, where its second season has already been released, the format ‘The Quiz with Balls’ has even made the leap to the other side of the pond with the adaptation in the US on FOX with a great reception from the public.
Outside of Spain, Game of balls can also be enjoyed soon through Antena 3 Internacional and the international version of atresplayer.
