THE PRIEGO DE CÓRDOBA DOP TRIUMPHS IN THE INTERNATIONAL OIL CHINA 2024 COMPETITION
The Priego de Córdoba Protected Designation of Origin has been recognized with four prestigious awards in the Oil China 2024 International Olive Oil Competition. This 19th edition celebrates that it is considered the main olive oil competition in China and one of the best known to global level.
The main objective of the Oil China Contest is to make the best extra virgin olive oils (EVOO) known to the public and the media, promoting transparency in the Chinese EVOO market and promoting the consumption of this product both in China and in the rest of the world.
On this occasion, several brands with PDO Priego de Córdoba have received the following awards:
- The Empiedrofrom the SCA Olivarera La Purísima, has received a Gold Medal in the Intense Fruity Category.
- Parqueoliva Gold Seriesfrom Almazaras de la Subbética, has obtained a Gold Medal in the Intense Fruity Category.
- Corner of Subbéticafrom Almazaras de la Subbética, has received a Gold Medal in the Organic Category.
- Baron’s Salefrom Muela-Olives, SL has been awarded the Gold Medal in the Intense Fruity Category.
These recent awards obtained demonstrate the excellence and quality of these Spanish oils, reaffirming their position on the international stage. Awards that not only highlight the Denomination of Origin’s commitment to quality and excellence, but also reinforce its global reputation, becoming a benchmark in the world of extra virgin olive oil.
