The Peruvian singer Esaud Suarezknown for having been part of important groups such as Caribeños de Guadalupe and Papilón, reported that he is the victim of threats from criminals who demand payment of a large amount of money so as not to attack his integrity and that of his daughters.
In dialogue with América Noticias, from the city of Iquitos, Suárez, who is known as ‘The prince of cumbia’, explained that the thugs threaten him through messages and ask him to pay S/ 30 thousand.
“When you go out on the street I’ll give you your lead. You know, already. “You better pay the money,” reads one of the threats that the Peruvian artist received.
Esaud Suárez, who already reported the incident to the authorities, indicated that the threats come from the north of the country, specifically, from the city of Trujillo.
“I think it’s better to stay quiet, not talk to those people, it’s giving a lot of explanation. The Police are working. I have to be all over Peru, I have my jobs, contracts. Emotionally I’m not well, I can’t sleep, I’m worried.”, Esaud Suárez told América Noticias.
The interpreter said that the Police provide him with security guarantees, such as protection outside his home and personal custody.
