Mahmood’s career
Alessandro Mahmoud, known artistically as Mahmood, was born in Milan in 1992, to a Sardinian mother and an Egyptian father. After his father abandoned him, he grew up in Gratosoglio with his mother and began studying singing and guitar at the age of 12. His first steps in the world of music and television were in X Factor 6 in 2012, where he was part of the group Under Uomini. From there, his passion for music grew and he enrolled in a school where he studied piano, theory and music theory, working in a bar to finance his studies.
