It’s official. Nestor Lorenzo has confirmed the list of 26 footballers of the Colombia selection facing the Copa America 2024 which will begin next June 24 for the tricolor team when they face Paraguay.
The Colombian coach has announced that the two players who will not be in the Copa América are midfielder Sebastián Gómez and defender Yerson Mosquera.
“The list has to be given before the friendly and Sebastián Gómez and Yerson Mosquera will not be there. I thank you for your time at the concentration. They are part of this process and with a great future,” he commented at the beginning.
Let us remember that these two footballers were the only players who went to the stands in Colombia’s win against the United States last weekend and were the favorites to leave the concentration.
Although both players were favorites to leave the National Team, there were many doubts in the last few doubts since Matheus Uribe is injured and there were possibilities that he would be left out. Likewise, another one with whom there were doubts was Miguel Ángel Borja due to the amount of weapons that Lorenzo has in attack.
