As part of the actions carried out by the National Society of Mining, Petroleum and Energy (SNMPE) in collaboration with its partners, personalized workshops were implemented in recent weeks. The first two were carried out a few days ago, at Engie Energía Perú and at PetroTal.

At Engie Energía Peru

The first of these activities was carried out within the framework of the so-called “Community Week” at Engie Energía Perú. This is an activity that seeks to bring the generation company’s collaborators closer to the social management actions they develop and inform them about the programs to improve agricultural capabilities that they work with the residents of the areas surrounding their operation.

There, the SNMPE developed two workshops that complemented said training. The first addressed the topic of shared value and the second referred to the prevention and resolution of conflicts. Paola Bustamante, director of Videnza School of Managers and former Minister of Development and Social Inclusion, developed these topics in an exhibition that had the participation of 184 attendees in a hybrid format.

In addition, as part of the actions for the “Communities Week” a fair was set up where several entrepreneurs were able to sell their products, as well as interact directly with the workers of the generation company, sharing details about their business projects and products.

At PetroTal

On the other hand, the SNMPE – in its role of promoting the focus and good practices in Human Rights in the companies associated with the union – accompanied PetroTal and the Loreto Police Macroregion in the Human Rights instructors course.

This training aims to train future instructors of the National Police of Peru to internalize the Human Rights approach in their functions. In this way, upon graduating from the course, participants will be able to train other police officers.

The course has been taught by the Training School of the National Police of Peru for several years and, for the first time, it is held in the city of Iquitos with the support of PetroTal.
