Fans are confident they’re going to win it all at home, but things calmed down at TD Garden on Friday night, especially when the game started to break up.

“People were excited, but they weren’t too excited when we lost.” said one disappointed Celtics fan.

About 16,000 Celtics fans packed TD Garden hoping for a clean sweep, but were disappointed. In fact, half the crowd was already gone by the start of the fourth quarter.

This was the team’s second watch party of the week with the city closing Causeway Street for an away game.

Fans really appreciate everything the Celtics organization did to make this feel like a home game for people for only $18 a ticket. Although resale tickets for the event were over $100.

“It was an incredible experience, even though we lost, I feel like I have hopes of winning the championship.” said a child who attended the event.

“We had a little anxiety, it was back and forth. “We are here to support our team no matter what.” Erica Evans said.

“Why not win it in the building where it started? Get ready to put up the pennant and we’ll meet you here.” Johnathan Dykes added.

Now the 19,600-seat stadium is not enough to house all the rowdy fans in this city. Just yards from the Garden, about 1,100 people packed Big Night Live, four times the size of the crowd they had for Wednesday night’s party. Those fans were equally disheartened.

The good news is that all the fans we heard last night are confident that the Celtics will close things out in Boston for Game 5 on Monday night.
