A young woman from Vigo who was traveling with her mother and baby dies after crashing into a wall in OiaTVG
A young woman from Vigo, MMG, died this afternoon after leaving the road and crashing into a wall while driving her car through Oia. Also traveling on board were the mother of the deceased, who was slightly injured, and her son, a baby, who was unharmed.
The accident occurred after 1:10 p.m. this Saturday on PO-354, Estrada da Gándara, near Loureza. The fatal victim, a woman born in 1991 who was traveling as co-pilot, was trapped after the impact and, after being released by the O Porriño Firefighters, her death was certified moments later. The mother (MCGF, 64 years old), who ran the tourism, was transferred to the Álvaro Cunqueiro Hospital by the 061 medical helicopter. The baby, who was traveling in the back, was not injured, although he was treated at the scene by an ambulance.
In addition to the health services, members of the GES of A Guarda and the Civil Guard participated in the operation, which kept traffic temporarily closed at the point of the accident in order to carry out the emergency device.
The deceased young woman was a native of Vigo but lived precisely in the municipality of Oia, specifically in the same parish of Loureza. The damaged vehicle is a Toyota Yaris.
