During the night of Wednesday, the monthly meeting of the Central Central Regioncomposed of Cacharí, Del Carril, General Alvear, Olavarría, Saladillo and Tapalqué.

The meeting began with the welcoming words of the Director of the Region Jorge Greco, who was also in charge of presenting the topics to be discussed.

The first topic was free special tariff regime for entities of the national volunteer firefighter system. This is Law No. 27,629 and is aimed at associations and federations of volunteer firefighters, the Council of Federations of Volunteer Firefighters of the Argentine Republic and the Firefighters Foundation of Argentina as constituent entities of the National System of Volunteer Firefighters.

This law and the benefit imply a total bonus on the price of gas, as well as the costs of transportation and distribution of natural gas through networksincluding any other charges under national jurisdiction.

From the Region They explained that all associations must be registered for this benefit and that in addition, together with the Federation of Volunteer Firefighters of the Province of Buenos Aires, they are working to achieve the same subsidy with electricity and telephone services and the reduction of VAT for purchases made by these same institutions.

Later, from the Training area, the Provincial Deputy Director of Training Javier Domínguez detailed the progress in the certification of Hazardous Materials and Rescue Groups in Confined Spaces (MATPEL) in the CEFEP. Joaquín Doorish, Non-Commissioned Officer of the Olavarría Central Fire Station and Engineering student, is working with the department and advancing in this certification.

Finally, at the meeting also Issues related to the Federation Fund, the budget and subsidies for travel and training of active corps were discussed..

The meeting ended with the words of the Commander General Chief of the Corps Raúl Ferreira, who took the opportunity to congratulate the firefighters within the framework of their national day and dedicate a minute of silence to the fallen colleagues. He also highlighted the importance of the Boards of Directors, who in some way end up serving as administrative firefighters, donating their time.

The night closed with a dinner between the representatives of the different fire departments.
