Since June, the Government implemented cuts in subsidies and set lower consumption ceilings.

Families with monthly incomes less than $2,898,553 can apply for subsidies for electricity and natural gas through the Registry of Access to Energy Subsidies (RASE).

This benefit allows eligible households to pay reduced rates according to the current segmentation scheme.

Starting in 2022, users are divided into three residential categories based on their income:

  1. High income (N1): households with income greater than $2,898,553 (3.5 basic baskets). Exceptions apply to households in certain southern provinces, where the threshold is $3,536,235.47.
  2. Median income (N3): households with income between $828,158 and $2,898,553. Those with a cohabitant with a Single Certificate of Disability (CUD) have a threshold of between $1,242,237.29 and $2,898,553.67.
  3. Low income (N2): households with income less than $828,158.19. For households with CUD, the threshold is less than $1,242,237.29.
  4. How to apply for subsidies?

Registration in the registry is mandatory to maintain subsidies. The procedure is carried out in www.argentina.gob.ar/subsidios and it takes only a few minutes. You need to have on hand:

  • Meter and customer/service/account/contract number or -NIS of the electricity and gas bills.
  • Updated ID.
  • CUIL of all those over 18 years of age in the home.
  • Net income of each member over 18 years of age.
  • Email.
  • Renacom registration number if a community dining room or picnic area operates at the home.
