Second version of the Winter Reader Festival 2024: The Plaza de Maipú is filled with books and activities during the winter holidays

During these winter holidays, culture, books and authors will take over the Plaza de Maipú. There will be 3 days, from Thursday, June 27 to Saturday, June 29, in which residents will be able to take the opportunity to get closer to reading and learn about the offer that the new version of the Winter Reading Festival brings.

The event, which will operate every day from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., will consist of 15 stands selling books and literary accessories, with important publishers such as Planeta, Penguin Random House, Catalonia, Zig-Zag, Antártica, Caligrafix , Ediciones UC, Urano, Vicens Vives, in addition to bookstores and businesses in Maipú, such as Manga Sempai, Librería Los libros, Constelaciones literary, Booklovers and Ludi Juegos.

Also, there will be stands by Maipucino writers, the Library Network, a Children’s Zone with support from the Chilean Chamber of Construction, a cafeteria and a hydration point.

Among the book presentations are “Certain Boys” by the famous Chilean writer Alberto Fuguet, “Ordena tu finances” by Aurora Sepúlveda, “Don’t turn off the light” by Claudia Latorre, among others. In addition, activities such as the Illustration Workshop taught by Fabián Rivas, author of children’s books such as “Cavermanos”, “Can you help me, please?”, “Milo el Milodón”, among others, are added. Likewise, the storyteller “Pedro’s Adventures and His OCD” by Tomás Miño will be presented.
