The Regional Government of Moquegua, the Provincial Municipality of Mariscal Nieto, the District Municipality of San Antonio and the Moquegua Users Board presented the program of activities for Farmer’s Day, which is commemorated on June 24.

Eng. Prescilio Mamani, regional director of Agriculture, reported that the official program was presented, articulated with local governments that are supporting the festive events in the month of farmers in the Moquegua region.

“Today, Tuesday, an event aimed at farmers will be held in the auditorium of the Santo Domingo Cultural Center, starting at 8 in the morning, where the physical and legal sanitation of agricultural property will be discussed,” he said.

He added: “Producers, universities and institutes are invited to participate in the training. There will be speakers from Lima, from National Assets and Public Registries, as well as from the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation, who will provide some guidelines to continue with the process of physical and legal sanitation of agricultural properties and those that are in the process of formalizing land. wastelands.”

DELIVERY OF TITLES

Mamani announced that 400 property titles will be delivered on June 24 to farmers in Omo, La Rinconada and Samegua. In the district of Coalaque, 80 titles have already been delivered, with 200 titles pending, which will depend on the support of Public Registries.

In addition, four thousand lunches will be shared at the Alfonso Gambetta fairgrounds, thanks to the support of the municipalities of Mariscal Nieto and San Antonio, the Pasto Grande Project and GORE Moquegua.
